Short Black
A straight shot of espresso. By itself.
Long Black
A shot of espresso with some added water to make it ‘longer.’
Americano
A shot of espresso with even more hot water added — sometimes mistakenly called a large long black.
Macchiato
Available short or long; essentially a short/long black but with foamy milk for a creamy taste.
Flat White
A shot of espresso with steamed, but not foamy, milk—‘flat’ milk.
Latte
A shot of espresso with steamed milk topped with foam. Your latte can also be flavoured with sweet syrups like vanilla and hazelnut.
Cappucino
A shot of espresso with steamed milk and lots of foam—similar to a latte, but with more foam.
Mocha
A shot of espresso with foamy steamed milk which is mixed with chocolate powder or chocolate syrup.
